The Association

Mission

Non-profit organization under French law (law 1901), our mission is to provide free medical care to anyone facing administrative or financial barriers to healthcare access, mobilizing all means for integration or reintegration into the common healthcare system and bearing witness to any malfunctions.

For this purpose, Médecins Solidarité Lille offers:

  • interviews with social workers
  • Medical consultations
  • dental care
  • nursing care

All of this, free of charge.

The functioning of the association

Anyone who has difficulty accessing healthcare is welcome on a walk-in basis.

Reception

Social interview

People arriving for the first time systematically have a social interview which allows them to :

  • take stock of their situation and their rights in terms of access to healthcare (family, administrative situation, housing, communication, financial situation, social coverage)
  • to inform them, guide them, and even support them in order to enable them to reintegrate quickly into the common law health system if possible.

At each consultation, the patients' social file is examined to check the progress of the procedures and the administrative situation.

Medical consultation

The doctors provide consultations in general medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry or gynaecology, supplemented if necessary by a specialist opinion or paraclinical examinations within the framework of agreements with the hospitals of Lille: CHU and GHICL.

Medicines are dispensed free of charge.
